Those internal changes have led to some external ones; writing some books, starting a group about humanity, and trying to share something so important that took me so long to figure out. But, my message is the one people REALLY don't want to hear, and I knew it would be since I didn't want to hear it for 30 years. Instead of being honest and dealing with our genuine humanity, that default humanity likes to do something else; it likes to 'feel comfortable'. And nothing makes us more comortable than ignoring what makes us uncomfortable. Who we truly are as a species and as individuals is something we try very hard to ignore. Until we've really connected to our impulsive weakness and our desire and ability to overcome it, we'd much rather hear about science, religion, TV shows, movies, celebrities, money, cars, sex, video games, or anything on the outside. THIS IS NOT SELF HOWEVER- IT IS NOT US- AND WE CANNOT GET BETTER BY ONLY DEALING WITH IT. 00:30:00JCharonoSo, I've been relfecting on and confronting my humanity for about 6 years out of 30, and have made some big changes. In other words, every single thing you believe, know, dream, imagine, think about, want, and fear could be assumed. 'Okay fine, but what's wrong with an assumption?' Quite simply, it could be wrong- we could be wrong- we could be living our lives based on automated determinations that do not require complete information or validity. 'So every single thing you do could be wrong, but you determine right and wrong, so if it seems right to you isn't it? I mean, even if we assume what is right, doesn't that make it right? NO! Even though we determine right and wrong, if there is an untapped part of us that would make a different determination as long as we weren't too afraid to look, than our presumptious nature isn't valid. And there is a part of us we never consult with before determining our lives- it is called our conscious- the part of us responsible for logic, thought, questioning, considering, and being fair. We all make A LOT of assumptions and live by them. That presumptious nature seems more obvious in some of us who prejudge other groups with hate, anger, or jealousy. We often call these people bigots, but you don't have to be a bigot to make assumptions... you just have to be human. I want to talk about what it means to be so presumptious/human, but also what it could mean to be so aware, open, and humble (human again), and just how much of our lives are assumed. We can never know everything, but if we know and are strong enough to remember, that we will probably assume what's true instead of figure it out, we can know enough to actually change.   00:27:00JCharonoAs humans, it is always easier for us to assume knowledge and value; automatically accept or deny exterior information. What goes around, comes around. Well, does it really? Is there a guaranteed balance of some sort to morality; to our actions and knowledge? Is your life just a small part of a connected consciousness? If so, how? I recently watched a movie called CLOUD ATLAS, which revolves around this idea. It bounces around time, focusing on the actions of mainly good characters facing evil ones, and how their actions and knowledge are connected througout time. In the end, despite evil still winning out in a way, it hints that the seeds of good were planted and eventually take over. There is one character played by Halle Berry that seems to come from a time when this is so; that humanity is overwhelmingly good. So what about this Karma business? Is it valid? Is there any proof that human morality balances, or changes at all, automatically by natural or supernatural forces? This is the tough part, because I believe in the connectedness and default improvement of humanity, but it isn't through mysticism or spirituality. I believe, from evidence (evolution), that if we stay alive long enough we will become more moral through conscious growth as a species. But, that belief is not that practical, and not knowledge. The practical knowledge is that in our lives everything works on cause and effect; if I hurt people there are effects, and if I heal people there are effects. The understandable now and seemingly reasonable future are the reasons to get better.  But there is no guarantee that acts of kindness or evil will build and eventually overcome. Believing in that guarantee can have consequences; real effects that matter. I will explain what that is and how buying in to any unforeseeable reality at play is negative. 00:16:00JCharonokarma,consciousness,morality,belief,spiritualityWhat goes around, comes around. We are that powerful and important, but we don't see it, much less live for it. We each have a very deep-rooted subconscious part of our mind, which isn't concerned with that all-important truth. It also isn't what we typically make it out to be. Empathy isn't really an emotion, it's just that the emotional aspect of it is what we automatically see. To be empathetic, or to honestly try and see from an alternate perspective, takes more of your conscious than your subconscious. We dwell on the subconscious aspect of empathy however. We realize our sadness, sympathy, and the way it makes us feel, while ignoring the most important ability that got us there. I'll talk about why that conscious aspect of empathy is so important, and how if we take it for what it is, being empathetic to other perspectives can be great, but being empathetic to your own can be much better. Many times we don't stop and think about and emote for our own existence. Looking at your self without only seeing what's attached to it, can cause more of you (including your empathy) to come forward in to the world. It isn't something we choose. It doesn't deal with reality, but instead deals with your feelings of comfort. It just feels better to assume you're always right. I mean, who wouldn't want to have all the answers?     I deal with pride on a regular basis. I used to be as prideful as they come. I have made improvements, but it still will get the best of me from time to time. The assumption that we're right is flawed in several ways. Right and wrong are often very relative. There isn't some concrete answer to observe. Also, from our perspective we have to realize the truth before we can really conclude what's right. When you have pride, the truth is never what concerns you. A feeling of comfort is all your mind is after, so assuming you're right works perfectly. The truth is bigger than we assume however. There are more elements involved than we initially consider.     If you can objectively see the truth of 'what' you assume, you'll have a chance at confronting your pride. But, if you can objectively see the truth of 'why' you assume, your pride just met its worst enemy; your conscious. 00:29:00JCharonopride,knowledge,truth,assumption,fearLike all emotions, pride is a subconscious or automated reaction to absorbed information. I've been listening to and thinking about this whole 'free will debate' lately. A lot of very smart and logical people are saying it doesn't exist. So, this uneducated and logical person wants to explain why it does. Not for bragging rights, because let's face it, no one cares what I think. But, because it matters, and matters a lot. We humans are unlike anything else we know of in the universe. Not only can we consciously think, but we can turn those conscious thoughts into actions; even actions that disagree with our deep-rooted desire to feel instantly satisfied. True independent choice exists, even among the endless influence around us. It's a tricky subject, because external and internal influences are so powerful that the freedom to have our own willpower often seems impossible. However, if you look at it honestly and with all the necessary truths, you'll see that the question isn't does free will exist, but to what extent. Even then, we may be suprised; especially if we overcome what limits free will in the first place. I think I'll make this a two-parter, since it's a big idea... and it gives me another show without having to come up with another one. 00:28:00JCharonofree will, choice, willpower, chance, willOkay, so I haven't been doing regular shows at all, but I want to start back up again. It may not seem so, or it may seem like we're helpless against our desires, but the truth is desire is relative and changes based on your self awareness and honesty. Okay so what I'll do is actually prepare some talking points this time. LOL. I don't know why but I'm nervous on the phone. I want callers dang it! I'm just writing and talking to myself, which is okay since I often do anyway. But this next show will be about humanity, what I've found in my own and seen in others. I will try and wrap up major aspects of our humanity in the short time. Things like fear, desire, emotion, feeling, thought, belief, knowledge and perspective. Which I also write about in my book. I will be summing up those major points quickly to get them out there. Future shows will flush them out in much more detail I'm sure. 00:30:00JCharonohuman,humanity,self,being,mindOh dear, here we go. I want to have a show on them, and would like to have more in the future, because prejudice and labels go hand in hand. They are an emotional connector. They are words that convey, or at least believe to convey, ideas. Ideas we like make us feel good and want to be near other supposed like minded people. Ideas we don't like or agree with help us segregate ourselves from those people. This is bad news, and one of things that really degrades humanity and sets us back. We'll talk about what labels are, main labels that separate us, social class, religious, prestige, etc. Why we label, what it does for us, and how it hurts us. Also, what a solution to classifying ourselves is, or if labels are necessary at all. 00:30:00JCharonolabels,separate,segregate,class,titleI started thinking about labels when I started trying this podcast thing yesterday. Just like our humanity, we benefit from patience, honesty, and perspective. 00:12:00JCharonoguide,rules,human,polite,fairA brief introduction to the show, and the rules I would at least like to be in place for both me and the participants, listeners, callers, chatters, etc. I th
