    Distraction, Distraction, Distraction

Hello. My name is Laurie and I am a Facebook-aholic (all in unison now, "Hi Laurie.). Twitter, too. And, StumbleUpon. Okay, and there are quite a few others that I get my daily distraction-fix from.

It suddenly dawned on me today when I was in the shower after having a face-off between Facebook, Twitter, PerfectBusiness.com and some of the other sites I peruse along with the other distracted folks like me, that while these websites have brought me business, community, connection, and fun, they've also provided me with several opportunities to "busy" up my time and avoid the things that really keep my business running and operating.

    Hmmmmm....

    Big dilemma, eh?

They say the first step in recovery is admitting, right?

Okay, I admit it, I am a Facebook junkie

    What's the second step?

Apologizing or something like that? Yeah, that's right. I get to forgive myself for the times I am distracting myself with wall-to-wall posts, comments, thumbs-up and idle IM chat.

Third? Notice and observe. Yeah, I know, I am making that up. But, this is the system I am creating right now. I am going to notice and observe what is "behind" or underneath the distraction. Honestly, I think that I'd rather delegate some things in my business so I can play on Facebook even more so.

    Recovered!
