Michigan Economy - there IS Hope here...

    www.ExfoliatingShavingCream.com                 Friday, January 16, 2009    ©5:32:19 PM

Recently, many say there is nothing good about Michigan...I agree, if you tend to look at your ass from your ankles.  Actually, there are many of us who have actually LEFT our jobs to seek something better for our lives than the day to day drudgery of the traditional 9-5.  Many have become successful, some not so successful, but at least they have tried.  Maybe we can start looking at what made this country great by celebrating the fact that these fore skinned Forefathers who went before us actually worked for themselves, by themselves, and actually created industries, businesses  - called Farms, Woodworking Shops, Shoemakers, and Trading Posts...with NO governmental (emphasis on mental) assistance.

This past year for me has been one of character building.  Working for 9 months to build a base, foundation for my future and my kids future with no "measurable" results makes you tough - mentally.  Yes, I want a Banker's Bail-out!  I'd love nothing more than having someone saying "Hey, buddy, I can lend you a dime".  One thing we know is that any government that is capable of giving you everything is also capable taking it all away.

I know one thing for certain.  As things take off for my business, I will have that nice warm feeling in my gut that I did this on my own for the sake of my self, my family, and the legacy I leave behind and NO one but my wife helped me, believed in me or gave me the reinforcements I needed to keep going when nothing seemed to be working.  There is really something to be said for laying your head down your pillow at night and know you "owe no man nothing".  Isn't that what brought people to America in the first place?  I believe it was - too much Government and Church meddling!

Freedom is NOT free.  I've paid dearly as multi-business owner for the incomes I've made over the years and am thrilled to think I could "tap into the reservoir of free Obama money" as I'm owed something for all I've paid in!  Really?  The American Dream is pulling yourself up by your own bootstraps and pouring in with it, blood, sweat, and tears.  That is what I'm experiencing.  That is what building something is about.

Let's work to build America back to the what we were.  No free hand-outs.  Everyone working hard to help each other succeed while busting butt to build your own dream.  I'm after the hand up, not the hand out knowing my efforts will build a family sustaining enterprise that only the government can take away.   Oh, I guess that would prove my point, now, wouldn't it?
