Dianne Linderman talks about traumatized kids who grow up to be troubled teenagers. Is it the parents' fault?

Dianne talks about two different parenting styles – authoritarian and permissive – which can sometimes be taken to the extreme.

In extreme situations, at one end you have overbearing parents who force their children to do what they think is right, dictating their kids' entire future; and at the other end, you'll find parents who do not care what their kids do, and sometimes end up completely neglecting them. Dianne shares insight into each of these parenting styles.

Also in this segments - the importance of knowing when to stay out of your kids' way and allow them to be who they want to be – their own, unique person!
