What does Math and Woobies have in common? They both are Special Features on our Show!

Parenting expert Kellie Ann Peterson is preparing for the holiday season and introducing some great gift ideas for your family.  Today we will be speaking  with 3 Great Guest. Sisterpreneurs from Los Angeles, Tori Burak & Betsi Wilson of Luv My Woobie, Inc and Suzy Koontz of Math & Movement.

Suzy Koontz will explain how Math & Movement™ is a kinesthetic, multi-sensory approach to teaching math that incorporates physical exercise, stretching, cross-body movements, yoga, and visually-pleasing floor mats designed to encourage students to practice math concepts. The Math & Movement™ program allows students to physically hop, walk, crawl, dance or touch the mats and banners as they learn thus using more learning modalities (visual, auditory, motor and kinesthetic) when practicing.

Tori and Betsi Luv My Woobie really began to thrive once they incorporated Thanksgiving into their everyday business. They make unique baby blankets with a built-in pocket, and in the process have learned that in the US approx. 2,000 babies are born into poverty each day, over 540,000 babies are born prematurely each year, and for every 1,000 babies born 6 babies lose their fight for life* ? mostly due to cold and/or hunger. The sisters find it unacceptable for any child on this planet to be void of a security blanket and decided they could help solve the problem by giving a blanket to a child in need for every blanket sold!
