How often do you hear , Support Black Owned Businesses?  I am a firm believer in supporting the business that will provide quality service and offer the best for my money, whether it is Black owned, Chinese owned, White owned or any other race.

I have of course supported black owned businesses but have not always been given the best service or given the most for my money.  Has this happened to you? Should I continue to support an establishment that offers poor service and/or subpar merchandise just because the business if owned by someone of the same race?

This week's research led me to the following found at:

http://theblackness.net/why-dont-black-people-support-black-businesses

The author of this article did a poll and asked Why is it hard to support black owned businesses and gathered the following  top 5 answers:

  1. They give poor customer service
  2. They are only trying to make a quick buck and don't care about their customers
  3. They sell cheap products/below average services at exponentially high prices
  4. They don't guarantee their products/services
  5. They are very unprofessional/ghetto
