Jack Kornfield, Ph.D. is a meditation teacher, author, and psychotherapist. After returning in 1972 from Asia, where he lived as a Buddhist monk for five years, Jack Kornfield cofounded the Insight Meditation Society in Barre, Mass., and obtained a doctorate in clinical psychology. His books include “A Path with Heart," "After the Ecstasy the Laundry," and "Seeking the Heart of Wisdom” with Joseph Goldstein). Dr. Kornfield and his wife and daughter live near California's Spirit Rock Center, where he is a guiding teacher. 

Joseph Marshall

books including the highly acclaimed "The Lakota Way." Joseph Marshall III is a member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe, and the recipient of the Wyoming Humanities Award.

Pema Chödrön, an American Buddhist nun, is widely known for her down-to-earth teachings on compassion and
meditation in the Shambhala lineage of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. Her books, including the best-selling "When Things Fall Apart" and "The Places That Scare You," are popular among people from many spiritual traditions. She was ordained in 1981 and today is the resident teacher of Gampo Abbey, a Buddhist monastic center in Nova Scotia.

David Whyte is a poet, lecturer, and corporate consultant. He holds a degree in marine zoology, and has worked as a naturalist guide in the Galapagos Islands. He has led anthropological and natural history expeditions in Peru, Bolivia, and Chile; and subsequently traveled to India and the hinterlands of Nepal. In corporate settings, he uses poetry to bring an understanding of the process of change, helping clients to understand individual and organizational creativity, and to apply that understanding to vitalize and transform the workplace. He is the author of four volumes of poetry.
