    SURVIVING MINISTRY TRANSITION

    333 magnify

You must first know your purpose. PURPOSE - Ephesians 1:11 "In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: " In other words, God also decided ahead of time to choose us through Christ according to his plan, which makes everything work the way he intends.

When the assignment is complete or can not be continued, know when your assignment is up. Most of us remain on assignments God has released us from.

God deals with appointed times and seasons. Ecclesiastes 3:11 "He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: " In other words, It is beautiful how God has done everything at the right time.

2 Timothy 4:4, "be instant in season and out of season;" Be persistent whether the time is favorable or not. Paul tells Timothy to be ever alert to convince, rebuke and encourage with the utmost patience (A necessary qualification).

Transition is GOD'S PLAN. It's wise, just and good.

FINDING & FULFILLING YOUR ROLE IN THE BODY OF CHRIST

"Only as you accept your part of that body does your "part" mean anything." (1st Corinthians 12:27 TM) Many Christians don't want the gift or gifts that have been given to them. Instead of joy or gratitude they are filled with disappointment. The greatest gift is not always the gift we want. It will prove to be the most lasting, most precious gift that we have ever received. It will fill us with joy, comfort us in sorrow and give us a foundation for all that we are and everything we do. Remember God chooses what we should have because he is intimately acquainted with us. One day, we'll be able to say, "Thank you, Father. Inspite of our tears, in spite of our ignorance, in spite of our sin and silly pride, thank you for the gift or gifts you 've placed within us."

    Take note of 3 things:

1.) Every believer has a ministry. We all have a need to feel appreciated. Paul writes: "Encourage one another and build each other up." (1st Thessalonians 5:11 NIV)

2.) Every ministry is important. Everybody is somebody in the house of God! "God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be... The eye cannot say to the hand, "I don't need you!" (1st Corinthians 12:18-21 NIV)

3.) We are dependent on each other. We need each other and have been called to work together. "I appeal to you... that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought." (1st Corinthians 1:10 NIV)

No man is an island although some of us want to work as independednts. That's pride and that can be fatal! "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work." (Ecclesiastes 4:9 NIV)

Be who God has intended for you to be. What God made you to be determines what he intends for you to do. You can avoid feeling like a square peg in a round hole. Get in your place!

EXTRA EXTRA READ ALL ABOUT IT!: ANOINTED WRITER

Author Publishes First Book Ever Written

    Vineland, NJ - September 19, 2007
-Christian author Evangelist Aleechea Pitts has astounded the literary world by writing her first book. Evangelist Pitts seized the opportunity to use her idle time while doing ministry full time. She was inspired by her mother to write. Her mother called her up one day and said, "Have you started writing that book yet?"

Charles Spurgeon said, "If there be one stitch in the celestial garment of our righteousness which we are to insert ourselves, then we are lost, but this is our confidence. The Lord who began will perfect. He has done it all, must do it all, and will do it all. Our confidence must not be in what we have done, nor in what we have resolved to do, but entirely in what the Lord will do." Evangelist Pitts is a great example of the type of author we often encounter on Lulu - she has not only been creative with what she has written but also with how she has written it. The book took 5 months to write.

Evangelist Pitts says: "Only a few years ago I would have struggled to find both the time and the publisher to enable me to create this book. Thanks be unto God, family, friends and Lulu I am now proud to be a published author."

Although the book is titled "The Whole Armor of God," it is not just about spiritual warfare!

    BEING AN ANOINTED MUSICIAN

In order to be an anointed musician, you must first accept Jesus as your personal Savior. If you're not musically inclined, then you must ask God to give you an ear to hear and then ask him to anoint you in your playing. Paul said, "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me." (With practice-in time you will get better, determination-you must be willing to learn music theory and motivation-to not give up) As for the skilled musician, it is the anointing that breaks and destroys the yoke. (The anointing is what makes the difference.) Like in times of old, when David played the harp for Saul and drove the evil spirits away from him. Musicians play an important part in the flow of service and they must be sensitive to the spirit. If the musician is not in their place spiritually it throws the whole service off from the pulpit to the door. For instance, playing melancholy chords at the wrong time can bring a dead spirit into the church. Being one with your Pastor is also helpful. (knowing what they want and expect) The church is there to win souls and should be a healing station for those who are brokenhearted, etc... So if those that are in the congregation are not touched by or getting anything out of praise & worship or the sermon; the music maybe the thing to uplift them and encourage their hearts. The musicians job is to set the atmosphere for praise & worship and make it easier for the minister before they preach. The musician should not override the praise & worship leaders or the preacher. The musican is to accompany them. If the music is too loud, those that are in the congregation may not be able to enjoy the service because the music is so loud that it hurts their ears. Most musicians get caught up in playing the instrument but the musician themselves should be getting into the service as well. As the musician is playing, it should be a sweet sound in God's ear. The musician should be praising and worshiping God in their music. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and he will direct your path. Put God first and you will succeed in everything that you do. May His peace be with you till we meet again.

    EVANGELIST PITTS MUSIC MINISTRY TESTIMONY

First of all I would like to thank my brother Ernest Pitts, Jr. who started me out in playing the keyboard. You guys keep him in prayer. He had a natural and God given talent to play any musical instrument he put his hands on without ever having to take music
lessons. From that point on, I took what he had taught me and started learning on my own and building upon what he showed me. I started trying to play along with tapes and videos. I learned alot by playing for a family based female quartet group called "Transformation". God blessed me where I ended up doing several recordings with them and recorded one of my own songs with them as well.

I've always looked for some type of way to enhance my playing. Local musicians don't want to show or teach any other musician due to inferiority and don't want others to sound like them, I suppose. One day I was surfing the net and came across a site for learning how to play gospel music. It has been quite a blessing to me. Everyone noticed a difference in my playing. My pastor was so astounded that she made me the assistant to the head musician. It has always been my heart desire to play for my church and God granted that to me. Because God gave me the motivation to not give up on my playing and due to websites like the one mentioned, I have achieved much. I get many compliments on my playing from musicians who I hold in high regard. God has opened
many doors for me, now I have pastors and other churches coming to my pastor and myself requesting me to play for their services. I am so grateful and humbled by this experience. I made a vow to myself that I wouldn't be selfish as other muscians are but I would be willing to share what I've learned to help someone else. I believe that God blesses us that we may bless someone else. I know how I felt when others wouldn't give me the time of day to show me how to enhance my style of playing.

At one point in time I had a complex about playing. I was playing in a service behind a preacher and an evangelist was in the audience letting me know that I was in the
wrong key. At that time I had just started back playing by ear in the church. The evangelist came up, found the key and the preacher asked them to continue to play. I didn't have a problem with that.  The problem came in when after the service, I heard the preacher and the evangelist making fun of me being in the wrong key and that's
when I had developed the complex. Years later, I approached the evangelist about it, but they said that they don't ever recall that happening. I never did get a chance to approach the preacher about it.

But I thank God that he delivered me from being inferior to other musicians. I know that there will always be someone out there that is better than I but it is the anointing that makes the difference. You can be a skilled musician so that you cross every I and dot every T but if the anointing is not in it, people are not getting delivered and yokes are not being broken and destroyed it counts for nothing. You have to love and enjoy what you're doing.  King David in the Bible was the ultimate musician. I know God took me through that experience so I wouldn't do it to someone else. I do believe that music theory is very important because once you know theory you don't have to second guess what chord is next. I just started getting into music theory a few years ago. So the answer to your question is this: Man cannot say if it wasn't for me you wouldn't being playing like your playing. God gets the glory out of this!

    THE STRONGHOLD OF HOMOSEXUALITY

Homosexuality is a stronghold that is running rapid in and out of the church. A very basic definition of a strong hold is a "hiding place". It's in our mind, will or emotions and is a place where negative thoughts or emotions "hide" until the enemy is ready to use them against us. A stronghold is something that keeps you bound. Strongholds are anything that binds your spirit down. Won't let you be free, bound down. Strongholds can be something from your past that you haven't let go of it yet and it is hindering your spirit. Strongholds aren't easy to get rid of, but if one desire to get rid of the things that bind them down, then seek God and keep seeking him. Isaiah 58:6 says, "Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the fetters of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?"

Homosexuality is a lifestyle that is easy to get into but hard to get out of. It carries along with it other sexual perversions. The more you gratify the flesh the more it wants. Flesh is never satisfied. It's like a person addicted to cocaine. You try to reach the first high but can never attain it. Most people who have attained the first high that were addicted to this substance most likely overdosed and few recovered from it yet others have died. The Bible lets us to know that the wages of sin is death. Not only physically but spiritually as well. But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. There is a way out through Jesus Christ. Sin is sin no matter what form it is in. You are not your own but you have been bought with a price. Jesus paid the price. His blood cleanses us from all unrighteousness. Yes, even homosexuality and lesbianism.

We must all recall to our mind where the Lord has brought us from. Remember how long it took for you to get delivered! Sinners have souls too. The Bible lets us to know that it was with loving kindness that God drew us to himself. God will always love sinners just as much as he loves the saints. There is hope. Isaiah 10:27 says, "And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck; and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing." Those who are in the homosexual life style whether you are out of the closet or not (even in the church) if you kneel down to pray, Jesus will wash your sins away. 1 John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." A broken and contrite spirit he will not despise. Those of you who are slipping and sliding, peeping and hiding, ducking and dodging in the church (especially those in leadership), you must turn to God with your whole heart in order to be effective ministers. Are we not all ministers?

The question is, "Do you want to be delivered? Do you really want to be set free?" If the answer is yes, then you will do whatever it takes... If that means deleting phone numbers, not accepting phone calls, cutting yourself off from those in that particular lifestyle, you will be willing to do it. Why? Because you got your mind up, no turning back. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you! Ask your self this question: How much do you love Jesus? Jesus said, "If you love me you will keep my commandments." Leviticus 18:22 says, "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination." In other words, you will abide by my word in its entirety. Leviticus 20:13 says, "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." There are things I could be doing to gratify this flesh but because I love God I choose to first deny myself and the things I desire and take up my cross and follow Him. Those of you are spiritually mature know what I'm talking about. His commandments are not grievous. It is for our benefit that we obey his commandments. He has given us everything pertaining to life and godliness.

Now is the time to give your life to Christ! You ought to give your life to him; he'll forgive you for your sins. You need to come to Jesus while he is nigh! He's waiting on you! John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever would believe in him would have everlasting life." If you believe on him you can have life. Believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that God has raised Jesus from the dead. He will save you right now! Come to Jesus, right now. He is a way out of no way. If you try him I guarantee he will lift you up. Is there anybody reading this that knows what I'm talking about? Anybody ever been down in the dumps and Jesus picked you up and turned you all around? If you come, he will forgive you! Somebody said if you're a drunkard, he'll make you a deacon. If you're a prostitute, he might make you a preacher. All you have to do is give your life to him. COME TO CHRIST!

    EVANGELIST PITTS PERSONAL TESTIMONY

    By Evangelist Aleechea Pitts ©8/29/2007

I am grateful to Christ Jesus our Lord and give him thanks for he has judged me faithful to do this work. Christ has strengthened me to hold this office.

I was a lesbian but I was forgiven because I acted ignorantly. The grace of our Lord overflowed for me. My past offenses have been wiped away and forgotten so that they no longer drag me down at all or leave me in an inferior position against other good people who have received God’s grace, revealing God’s faithfulness and love as he gives his grace to me.

God has transformed me and now I’m a new person. I revel in God’s grace in me which wipes out all memory of my former way of life.

This saying is sure and worthy of acceptance, Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, not righteous people of whom I am the foremost sinner, since I acted in ignorance and the rest of my life seemed blameless to other people. What I’m saying about myself is nothing out of the ordinary.

From the start God showed his grace in me in a most obvious way. I am so overwhelmed with this. The church benefited from me being a lesbian before I was called to be an evangelist. “How?” you might say, that in me Christ might show forth all longsuffering for a pattern to them which should in the future believe on him to life everlasting.

I count it a privilege as well as an honor that God has entrusted me to counsel as well as pray for and pray with those who have been oppressed and possessed by the spirit of lesbianism and homosexuality. I do not take it lightly for these souls have been assigned to my hand (Ezekiel 33:1-9). I have exposed myself for the benefit of those who are struggling in this area. There is a trust I have with those who have come to me in secret that is lodged in me and I am held accountable if I discharge that trust. I am to give warning to sinners of their sin. It is the will of God that the sinner man should be warned. PLEASE VIEW MY BLOG ON THE STRONGHOLD OF HOMOSEXUALITY!

EVANGELIST PITTS REFLECTS ON HER OWN LIFE

That ‘in nothing’ I have reason to be ashamed of ‘my work for God or his work in me’ [ALFORD], but that with all ‘boldness’ Christ ‘shall be magnified’ in my life.

As a child I always had a zeal for God’s word. To know Christ is more than merely to know a doctrine about him. The objective ground of confidence for the believer is the righteousness or perfect holiness of Christ appropriated by faith and it is also a subjective principle of life.

My life before I came into the knowledge of Christ was ‘refuse’ and has been thrown away as not worthy of being touched anymore or looked at.

I once was lost and have been ‘found’ and I hope to be perfectly ‘found’ by him (Luke 15:8). I was transported from the bondage of lesbianism into Christian freedom at once. The bands of lesbianism were loosed instantaneously and opposition to this lifestyle took the place of opposition to the Gospel. God’s providence fitly prepared me for the work of overthrowing all ideas of justifying lesbianism.

I do not wish to be understood as saying that I have obtained a perfect knowledge of Christ or am already perfected and perfection absolutely reached. ‘I press on’ that I may lay hold on (the prize, Philippians 3:14 which is the ‘crown of righteousness’, ‘crown of life’ and ‘a crown of glory that fades not away’ for which also I was laid hold on by Christ at my conversion, 1 Corinthians 13:12). He who counts himself perfect deceives himself by calling sin an infirmity (1 John 1:8), at the same time, in order to be a Christian one must aim at perfection (Matthew 5:48). The Christian is always humbled by the contrast between what he is and what he desires to be.

Therefore ‘as many of us, as are perfect,’ that is, full grown (no longer ‘babes’) in the Christian life (Philippians 3:3, ‘worshipping God in the spirit, and having no confidence in the flesh’), 1 Corinthians 2:6, fully established in things of God, ‘beware of the concision’. Follow not evil doers, because they are ‘many’ (Exodus 23:2). [They are the enemies of the cross of Christ in their practice, whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly (Romans 16:18), who mind earthly things. (Romans 8:5)] For our citizenship: our life as citizens is in heaven. We are but pilgrims on earth; how then should we ‘mind earthly things?’ (Hebrews 11:13-16) We wait for the Lord Jesus as a Savior. (Hebrews 9:28) He is ‘the Lord’, now exalted above every name, assures our expectation (Philippians 2:9-11). Our High Priest is gone up into the Holy of Holies to atone for us. ‘Who shall transfigure the body in which our humiliation has taken place (2 Corinthians 4:10), in which His glory is manifested that it may be conformed in our body according to the effectual working.’ Not only shall He come as our ‘Savior’, but also as our Glorifier.
