Ethical American  

The Ethical American is a show for people who like to think and debate important issues. Show topics will, for the most part, be about politics, but some topics may also include some more philosophical issues and questions. There are plenty of other political talk shows here on BTR and on the radio waves but The Ethical American show will be unique. The show will be discussing serious and important issues, events, and people but the show will be very lighthearted and, at times, funny. There may be some regularly occurring features on the show that offer some comedic relief as well. Feedback about the show is greatly appreciated.

Show Notes

My name is Bill and I am a 21 year old college student majoring in political science. I think independently and rationally. I enjoy watching C-Span and writing about politics in my spare time as well. I am a compassionate person who is severely disturbed by any and all injustices, poverty, and suffering that my fellow humans around the world are subjected to. I base my analysis and subsequent conclusions on truth and morality. My points of view have been evolving and maturing for the past few years and will likely continue to do so. I am an agnostic on spiritual matters but I fully support the public display of Nativity Scenes, Ten Commandments, crosses, etc. I am disturbed by the fact that most Americans know almost nothing about the Constitution and system of government that made America great in the first place. Oh, and I don't drink any alcohol. And that's just (pardon the cliché) the tip of the iceberg.

    I'll be examining the issue of anthropogenic global warming. I'll present the century long history of climate alarmism and question why it is now being refereed to almost exclusively as "climate change." Is anthropogenic global warming and its alleged disastrous consequences really settled science? You may be shocked to know how flimsy the alarmists' evidence really is. Also, I'm going to investigate what they are teaching children in schools and question the morality of indoctrinating and burdening young people with doomsday scenarios that have no basis in fact or reality. I will wrap up the segment comparing the behavior of fundamentalist Christians with that of global warming alarmists...if they don't burn me at the stake beforehand, that is! Please call in and opine, especially if you disagree with me. Having a diversity of opinions and political philosophies is very important.

    Muslims in the military

    An analysis of Major Nidal Malik Hasan's murderous rampage and the possibility that political correctness played a role in the military's failure to discharge him. Was Islam his primary motive for his evil deeds? Could there be other Muslims in the military that pose a risk to the safety of our soldiers? There is no doubt that the overwhelming majority of the thousands of Muslim soldiers are brave and patriotic Americans who willingly risk their lives to fight Islamic fascism. Muslim soldiers are not only fighting for American values, they are also fighting for true (according to Islamic scholars) Muslim values of peace and tolerance.

    Islamification of Europe

    This show will be based on the recent news story about a Dutch Member of Parliament being denied entry to Britain because British government officials insist that he is stirring hate, religious and racial hatred. The MP's name is Geert Wilders and he is an outspoken opponent of Europe's ongoing appeasement of Islamic fascism. Mr. Wilders has also made a short film against Islamic terror. Mr. Wilders was invited to Britain by a member of the British parliament but was detained at the airport and sent home by British Security officials. Questions need to be asked and the issue of Islamic terrorism and Europe's appeasement of violent and hateful Muslim terrorists. These serious issues need to be properly and fairly examined and the Ethical American is up to the task.

    Ramos and Compean injustice

    Most people may have heard about former Border Patrol Agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean but most people do not know the extent of the injustice perpetrated upon them. If you are unfamiliar with this case then listen to the show, but be warned that you will probably be deeply disturbed by this injustice. The following gives a short summary of what I'll be talking about, but leaves out the important details that describe the incredible extent of injustice attached to this case. I will tell the story from its start in early 2005 to 2009. The agent's imprisonment stems from a 2005 incident in which both agents used their service weapons to shoot at a drug smuggler. The smuggler was hit once and suffered minor injuries but escaped back into Mexico, leaving behind his 743 pounds of marijuana. For this incident, the U.S. government viciously prosecuted both agents and gave the drug smuggler complete immunity to testify against them. Both agents were convicted of a few crimes including use of a weapon during the commission of a crime which carries a mandatory ten year prison sentence. The law was not meant to apply to police officers using their service weapons while on duty but that didn't stop this political prosecution. Both agents have three young children and loving wives. They have been in prison for over two years now. Ramos was sentenced to eleven years and Compean was sentenced to twelve.

    This short episode will be about male drivers who are unmarried and under the age of 25 and the stereotypes that are associated with such individuals. If there is time, I will read the most ridiculous, irrelevant or stupid news stories from major news sources. I may also give some examples of what future episodes will be about. Please call in if you have anything to say, even if its not related to the topic at hand.

    Barack Obama won the national popular vote by a huge margin as well as the electoral college votes. I'll talk about what this means for the future of the U.S. I'll also analyze the forces behind the Obama victory and determine whether Obama campaigned fairly and honestly. Please call in and say whatever you want to say! I want to hear your opinions and rest assured that all caller's will be treated fairly regardless of their opinion.
