Mission: The Real Man Campaign is an outreach to all men who are abusive, violent or potentially violent. We are seeking non violent, positive men for this campaign, who are ready, willing and able to assist in this urgent project. This campaign will not only help countless men become free from this relentless crime, but will help to put an end to the domestic violence crisis that is ongoing in every part of the world, restore families and save many lives. The 24 Hour Abuser Hot line will be a national hot line which will work in conjunction with the Real Man Campaign and will be established to operate just like the victims national hot line, with male advocates as the counselors to answer the calls from the abusers. This will allow volunteer access to help in time of need, versus court ordered, which is too late for many cases. There is help 24/7 for the victims, however, we need a hot line for abusers even more. This Campaign is appealing to all Clergy, Celebrities including Actors, Singers, Athletes, etc., Politicians, Medical Personnel, Military, Law Officers and all others that are considered to be men of positive influence to form a task force. The Abuser Hot line will be publicized via television, radio, internet, billboards, print media, etc and will be accessible via telephone, text messaging, email, chat or any other means of communication. This will give the abuser the opportunity to volunteer to get help before an episode gets out of hand. Benefits of this campaign: Interaction Lives saved Family restoration Volunteer versus ordered Men that are of positive influence are being sought out to stand up and be a helping hand to these abusers who are in need of a non violent mentor...one that can lead them in a new and much better way of life, than the one they are living right now. We have leaders in so many areas, that are paving the way for others to follow...why not for the cause of domestic violence, through a campaign that is specifically designed and targeted to reach these abusers, before another episode, which may very well be the last one for the victim? Friday with former Showtime at the Apollo Amateur Night contestant R&B, Soul, and urban contemporary Indie Artist David Peaston he won several rounds of this competition. David initial come to the scene in the 80’s and 90’s with a voice that is soft and yet powerful which proved itself when he won the Apollo competition. This former teacher has such a beautiful gift for singing it’s refreshing and touching. His huge, bombastic voice reflects great family roots; his mother Martha Bass was one of the Clara Ward Singers and a great gospel performer, while his sister Fontella Bass has equally distinguished gospel and soul credentials. He started out as a teacher and after being laid off in 1981, Peaston moved from St. Louis to New York. He began doing session work and auditioned for a role in the gospel musical Don't Get God Started. He also auditioned for a spot in the Apollo's famous Amateur Night competition. He became a featured attraction on the syndicated Showtime at the Apollo in 1988 and eventually landed a deal with Geffen. His 1989 LP Introducing...David Peaston was among that year's hottest and most soulful releases, and he also toured with Gladys Knight in America and Gerald Alston in England. Peaston moved to MCA for the 1991 release Mixed Emotions, but failed to get the vital crossover exposure or breakout urban hit he needed to get the recognition he deserved. Wednesday Smooth Jazz Indie Artist Justin Young is a wonderful Jazz Saxophonist. Let's celebrate with him his recent CD release "Nothin But Love". Justin’s musical career has progressed with participating in events like the win at the 2007 Capital Jazz New Artist Challenge in Columbia, Maryland and winning. This victory led to opportunities to work with artists like: Boney James, Brian Culbertson, Kim Waters and other jazz stars during the six-day Capital Jazz Super Cruise. His CD “On the Way” was his debut to the world consisting of collaborations with artists like: Paul Brown, Tim Bowman, and keyboardist Tom Schuman of Spyro Gyra. Driven by strong national airplay for the tracks “JY Funky”, “New Day” “Sunny” and “LuvHandles. Justin has also opened for Norman Brown and Nick Colionne, as well as Earth, Wind & Fire and The Temptations. Justin was honored to open for Dave Koz in Detroit at his July, 2008 summer concert in Detroit. Additionally, Justin holds a B.S. Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University.
