    Dispensationalism: Ethnic Israel, the Remnant, & the Gentiles, Is the church the Failure of Christ t

    HTML clipboard Dispensationalism teaches that the church is an accident, the failure of Christ to establish the kingdom on earth during this personal ministry. It is believed that God has a dual purpose for the ethnic Jews in the promise to Abraham. This promise is believed to be separate and apart from that of the church.

    Dispensationalism originated about 200 years ago and is rather a recent doctrine and view of eschatology. It's  proponents believe that Christ will one day return and set up a literal throne on earth and reign in Jerusalem for a thousand years. This is time it is believed that many of today's "unbelieving Jews" will be converted.

    For the next few days we will discuss this relationship with Israel and the church to find out where the church is placed in the mind and purpose of God. Is it a secondary institution of second class citizens to ethnic Jews?  Is the church an accident representing the failure of Christ? To whom would God HTML clipboard restore the kingdom, when?
