Sperm Donors vs. Fathers

Today is Father's day and as such males who have been involved in the biological process of bringing a child into this world will try to take credit for the day by celebrating it. Does every male actually qualify to be a tagged a "Father"? If you have children,are you just a sperm donor or actually playing the role of a Father?
