Tonight on Political Gravity, Jane Hoffman talks a bit about the Middle East.  With the recent pull out of all military from Iraq, has the U.S. succeeded in putting democracy into the country (even if they didn't ask for it)?  Can democracy ever really take root in the Middle East?  The bigger question comes - should it?  Is democracy the only government that truly works?

Also, Jane will take a look at Lybia's second round of elections, and other Middle Eastern perpetual clashes.  --  In the last few moments of the show, Jane will lighten it up, & shift the gear to Christmas stories!  Do you have a funny one you want to share?  Give us a call!

All this plus music, NPR news, & your phone calls at 1.347.989.1942.  This will be the last Political Gravity before the new year, so don't miss a second of it!
