It's going to get a scorcher on The Ernest Experience Radio Show tonight!  A recent Christianity Today blog, the subject of "Is The U.S. The Greatest Country On Earth?", and the findings were rather startling, but most certainly telling.  How does the U.S. fair among those that are Christian, versus those that are not Christian?  How has patriotism and Christianity gotten in bed together, and created, what some believe is, a convoluted view of Christianity as a lifestyle, and patriotism as a duty.

The Sermon On The Mount largly influenced the idea of true peace, the common good among society, tolerance for the less fortune and the criminal and the dregs of society, and taking care of those around you.  (A rather socialist view if you think about it.)  Yet somehow, people decidedly put God to the side when it comes to the idea of war.  Of course, to them they see God & country as one, but in reality the idea of war balks at Christianity's very existence.  We'll talk about that.

All this plus music by Jon Gibson, & FDeluxe, NPR News, Ern's 3-minute commentary "You Care Whether You Admit It Or Not", and much more.  Don't miss it!
