Special Lifetimes: A Mother’s Cry

Join me for this extraordinary episode in which I will introduce you to a wonderful, dedicated, and passionate mother and advocate. Mrs. Emily James is the mother of five-year old twins Maya and Marvell. In the 28th week of her pregnancy, Emily learned she was carrying one typical child, and one child with heart problems and Downs Syndrome. Emily will candidly discuss her feelings regarding how she felt unsupported when she learned of her daughter’s special needs, and how she coped with having a newborn infant in living in the hospital while caring for a healthy newborn as well. This will be an intense and highly emotional episode which may not be appropriate for younger listeners.
