Beautiful ones..it is my DISTINCT pleasure to feature the wonderfully gifted Lyricaltoye!!!!! She is sooo....deep..words can not describe her work. Please do join me as I welcome her to my house. A very special day indeed this shall be!!! Sunday May 23rd 12:00 pst 2:00 cst 3:00 est Where artists meet Blazin Open mic to follow... Lyrical Toye was heavily influenced by the works of Langston Hughes, Claude Mckay, Contee Cullen, William Shakespeare, James Baldwin, Nikki Giovani, Edgar Allen Poe, Robert Frost, Zora Neale Hurston, Jean Toomer, Truamn Capote, Paul Laurence Dunbar, Phyllis Wheatley among others. The Harlem Rennaisance Era of writing is where her biggest writing inspirations and influences were birthed. However many connected to the Black Arts Movement also played heavy influences as well Amiri Baraka, Sonia Sanchez, Gwendolyn Brooks, Gil Scott-Heron, and Lorainne Hansberry just to name a few. Time has a way of steadily producing great talents. As a result of this steady progression some more modern day poets and writers have also influenced and continue to influence her efforts. Epiphany Castro, Tribal Raine, Max Parthas, Jayskillz, Eryk Moore, 9 Elements, Tshombe, Georgia Me, Black Ice, Bassey Ipki, Sekou Tha Misfit, Oscar Brown Jr, Tupac Amaru Shakur. There were endless names of people that affected her life in one way or the other and when the time comes they will all be mentioned. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
