At 40 years old, Epilepsy Advocate Marla H. was already experiencing multiple life challenges. She was unhappy with her marriage and contemplating divorce, raising three teenagers and pursuing her undergraduate degree in interdisciplinary studies. As if that wasn’t enough, she also experienced her first seizure. The resulting epilepsy diagnosis posed a whole new set of challenges.
