ENVISION THIS...communities where locally and sustainably grown non-GMO foods are traded equitably without corporate or government interference.

Our guest, Bob St Peter, Executive Director of FOOD FOR MAINE'S FUTURE, a member-based organization with a mission to build a just, secure, sustainable and democratic food system for the benefit of Maine farmers, fishers, patrons, communities, and the environment, was unable to be with us. Merry Hall, grant writer from the Board of Directors stepped in to discuss how equitable access to sustainably grown local food requires advocacy for oppressed family farmers and farm workers, public education, and production and protection of our locally viable, open-sourced, non-GMO seeds.  Bob St. Peter will be with us in October when the busiest season is over with.
