Excellent ideas. I found that when I tried to do some of the branding and design work on my own, for my business cards and brouchures, that they did not look proffesional, so I ended up spending more money by having it done right. IE, spend the money to have things done right, certain items should not be done on a shoe string budget. You mentioned business cards, they are your best form of advertising, make sure they look good.
