  Mission: The Queens of Internet Radio and their partners are dedicated to harnessing the cultural relevance of Hip-Hop music to serve as a catalyst for education advocacy and other societal concerns fundamental to the empowerment of our youth. Our hopes is to create a national coalition of Hip-Hop artists, entertainment industry leaders, education advocates, civil rights proponents, and youth leaders united in the belief that Hip-Hop is an enormously influential agent for social change which must be responsibly and proactively utilized to fight the war on poverty and injustice.
  
  With the proper education and information about financial literacy, a young person today can work hard and still be successful, even during the current economic environment. Hip-hop is about creating and maximizing opportunity. It is about transforming the American dream into a living reality. Our Hip Hop Action Summits are about helping young people empower themselves with the basic tools of financial empowerment.
  
  We are not trying to reinvent the wheel, we are piggie backing off of Russell Simmons Hip Hop Action Summit on Financial Empowerment. We feel it is a grassroots effort to help engage young people in discussions about the importance of personal finance. The Queens of Internet Radio summit’s agenda will be to discuss financial literacy, including such topics as the basics of banking, repairing and understanding credit scores, asset and wealth management, vehicle financing, home ownership. Community activism, hip hop mentoring, Career development and coaching specifically designed for artists.

  Older Sister, Shonta Gibson of Famed Singer/Actor Tyrese Gisbon Joins EOTM Radio This multi talented woman, Shonta Gibson was born in Los Angeles, Ca. and is a Watts native. Shonta is best known for her many years of talent management experience. She currently represents comedians and actors, Keith Adams, Kente Scott, Lamont King, Devon Stewart, and actresses Ki ki Haynes Bell, Audri Harris, Natalina Depina, and Director Karima J. Sphere. She also represents models, Co Co Jackson, and Melissa Parker, just to name a few. Shonta established a business called Edgelight Management and Entertainment in 2006, which is home for every one that she represents. Under this same roof, she has created a casting, modeling, and public relations division. With all the hats she wears, it creates a great fit for EOTM. What people most admire about Shonta is her strong people skills, and networking. She understands the power of linking people together.   Celebrity Thursdays ~ Tyrone Burton of Parent Hood ~

  Tyrone Burton is an American television actor known for his role as T.K. Anderson on the sitcom, The Parent 'Hood, which he joined the cast at the 1997-1998 and the 1998-1999 seasons of the show, which was the final two seasons of the series. Tyrone Burton has also appeared in other shows such as: Cold Case, That's So Raven, and the short-lived drama series, Outreach. Most recently he is featured in Walmart television commercials advertising Holiday gift cards. He is also married to his wife Shanise Burton. Mr. Burton started with a movie called Squeeze (based in Boston by a youth outreach group called DYC or Dorchester Youth Collaborative). He was born in Boston.
