Experiment with different beats to find what best compliments your particular style. Beats are usually the first thing you hear in a song. In the first few seconds of hearing the beat you decide whether you like the song or not. In some cases it doesn’t matter what the lyrics are. A nice flow alone can only go so far.  If the beat is wrong, then the song is wrong. Expand on yourself by working with beats outside your comfort zone.
