    Thimerosol Vaccines and Autism

    This hour I tackle another controversial topic- one which greatly affects all of us, vaccinations, but more specifically Thimerosal. Since the 1930s, Thimerosal had been added to vaccines as a preservative to boost drug company profits, allowing vaccine makers to package multi-use dosages in bulk instead of individual doses. The thimerosal preservative prevents bacteria from growing within the vaccine when the needle is dipped in and out of the vial to draw another shot. The FDA estimates that it's use in more than 30 licensed vaccines and biologics even though there have been publications in the most respected journals of medicine since the beginning of its introduction as a preservative on the market; warning about the dangers of mercurial based agents as preservatives to make vaccines multi-usable. Does mercury cause autism?

    Born with muscular dystrophy, raised by a football coach, Greg's memorable message successfully strengthens the individual delivering lessons on inner strength and personal development. He also focuses on "Strengthening America" by encouraging the embracing and exploration of the viewpoints of those around us who are different. In February, 2005, his remarkable life was shared with America in a PBS documentary entitled "On A Roll: Family, Disability and the American Dream." http://www.pbs.org/onaroll He is the author of "On A Roll: Reflections from America's Wheelchair Dude with the Winning Attitude." And he is currently emerging as a multi-media talent and social commentator with a very unique background. His radio show, "The Strength Coach," airs nationwide on the Radio America Network. For 11 years, Greg hosted "On A Roll - Talk Radio on Life & Disability." This syndicated program aired on more than 70 stations nationwide. For that work, he is respected as a disability community leader. Greg is a member of the National Speakers Association and makes dozens of trips across the country to address corporate, academic and private audiences. In addition to his busy career, he is the father of three active children, ages 15, 13 and 10.
