Zen Garcia will revisit the tragic story of Terri Schindler Schiavo to explain why it is important to have an advance directive in place to protect your life especially if you are a person with a disability. We will discuss different types of advance directives as certain options like the living will contrary to belief do nothing to protect one's life and only make it easier for doctors, hospitals, and for-profit institutions to legally end your life. We will also discuss the durable power of attorney for health care decisions and why this is a much better document for preserving and protecting one's life.
