What a Woman: Serving others with Passion, Perseverance and Poise!!!
Surviving a 2 year abusive relationship, fueled her passion to help other women in similar situations and motivated her to write her 1st book, "Looking for Love....In All the Wrong Places. The community support was overwhelming and she used the book as the basis for a Stage Play she wrote and produced in 2012 to a sold out crowd in Memphis, TN. 

She found love in the right place and has been married to the love of her life, Dennis for 13 years. They have 3 handsome boys, Kaveyon, Kemareyon, & Dakaree! 
Kamekio has a passion to share the love of God through ministry and fellowship with women and children. She has continuously worked in the helping field throughout her military career in Alaska, Kansas, and now in Tennessee. She has worked for the State of Tennessee for 9 years. She started as a vocational rehabilitation counselor, She completed her Masters in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling and was soon promoted to supervisor. She has since received another promotion and currently serves as the Program Coordinator for the Division. Her passion to help others succeed is demonstrated through her ongoing services. A facilitator, author, and public speaker, Kamekio provides transitional counseling and consulting to help educate & equip individuals with the skills, confidence, and resources needed to have a successful future!

2012 HTH Game Changer Humanitarian & Advocacy Award
2012 Finalist for Memphis Best in Black Awards
Member of “The National Coalition of 100 Black Women”
Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha (Phi Lambda Omega Chapter)
8 Years US Army 
Currently Pursuing her Doctoral Education
