In March we will be talking about bullying and the effects it has on our teens. Iyona Boyce is in 7th grade.... 

Leadership Roles:  Founded “Little Divas in Training” a mentoring program that promotes youth volunteerism and bullying awareness in 2009; Emerging Young Leader- Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc. Beta Epsilon Chapter; Belle of The Ball Prom Dress Consignment LLC Representative. I hold Anti-Bullying Awareness Workshops throughout the year where I travel to local schools, churches, and libraries speaking about my struggles with bullying and educating youth on how they can help take a stand against bullying in their communities. I was recently named the Unite Against Bullies Tennessee Ambassador by Logan West, Miss Teen USA 2012. 

 

Accomplishments/Activities: 2013 National Civil Rights Museum Keeper of the Dream Award Winner; 2013 Volunteer Mid-South Spirit of Giving Youth Volunteer of The Year; 2011-2013 Gold Presidential Volunteer Service Awards; 2011 Tennessee Ambassador of Goodwill citation from Governor Bill Haslem; 2011 Memphis Cares Mentorship Award Recipient for Little Divas in Training; 2012 CMS Orchestra- TN Music Association Violin Solo Ensemble 1st Place Superior Award; 13 National Competitive Cheer Championship title wins; Memphis Parent Magazine “Can Do Kids” October 2012 Feature Kid of the Month; Divine Magazine 35 People Who Inspire 2013 Honoree; 2013 Alpha Kappa Alpha Inc. Emerging Young Leaders Oratorical Contest winner; Feature model in the Tennessee Back to School Anti-Bullying Fashion Show hosted by fashion designer Jonathan Kayne of the TV show “Project Runway All-Stars”; Hosted A Belle Cares Black Out Bullying Pageant; Miss Tennessee Junior High America 2013; 3rd runner-up Miss Junior High School America 2013. I’m the current 2014 Miss Memphis Teen Princess.
