Gwendolyn Turner (Gwen) is a native of Memphis, TN. Always working in a servant’s capacity, she is the former Navigator/Administrative Assistant for the The Emotional Fitness Center of Tennessee. Prior to that, she was an Administrative Assistant for the YWCA of Memphis. Gwen’s passion to help in the field of domestic violence is one that came from her own life experiences. Living through verbal, emotional, mental, sexual and physical abuse for over twenty years, she now celebrates over ten years as a domestic violence survivor.
Gwen is currently employed with the Family Safety Center of Memphis and Shelby County. She is also an active member of VOICES of Memphis and Shelby County, a speaker’s bureau for survivors and partner agencies. Gwen lives by her statement that her life’s misery has become her life’s mission and ministry.
She is a 27 year proud member of The Golden Gate Cathedral Church and Founder of recording choir Billy Rivers and The Angelic Voices of Faith.
