"Drama, Drama, Drama!
"During the dinner, something baffling happens. I honestly have no clue where she got the ideas that she later shared in cutting emails. Negative Nelly takes issue with what she dramatizes as Angela and I being secretive. Rather than speak to us and ask questions, she sends a volley of nasty emails to us. I delete them and purge them from the computer without reading, as I can feel them oozing with snottiness.
"The only one I respond to is a prayer request for someone she knows. Angela is more concerned with why Nelly would act that way and is putting time and energy into the drama. I coach her to drop it and forget it, then listen to someone uplifting like John Di Lemme so she can get her head on straight."

Metaphor Examples are when you say that something IS something else. Like "Jan is a firecracker." You don't literally mean she's an actual firecracker, but she has that celebratory spark in her.
What makes that personal narrative examples? The "I-story" personal style. It's the author writing about her own experience.
There are lots of personal narrative examples and metaphor examples in the show, and you'll discover ways to blend your personal experiences into your storytelling for business.
