In 2007, Shayna left American Express Financial Advisors, (then renamed Ameriprise Financial) to serve as a Wealth Management Advisor with TIAA-CREF in Philadelphia.  In this position, she managed a client group of TIAA-CREF’s high net worth clientele, representing a group of assets of over $100 Million. In 2009, Shayna was named in Philadelphia Magazine as one of the city’s Five Star Wealth Managers, representing the top 7% of Wealth Managers in Philadelphia.

Still seeking to fulfill her desire for entrepreneurship., Shayna left TIAA-CREF in 2010 to begin Shaylear Financial, Inc.  Her passion and desire for Financial Literacy and personalized client service were the catalyst for her decision to leave the world of corporate financial services and enter the independent advisor arena.  She partnered with the Simon Financial Group in Bala Cynwyd, PA to offer her platform for investment advice and services.   In addition to her passion for financial literacy and education, Shayna is also obtaining her Master’s in Divinity and Economic Development from Palmer Seminary and Eastern University.  She believes in integrating her faith in her business practices, and also writes a blog on the topic of God, Love and Money.  Her educational workshops will often include managing one’s finances from a biblical perspective and has presented workshops at several churches and non-profit organizations.  Her first book, “Money on Purpose: Creating a Faith-Filled Balance” is scheduled for release in March of 2012, and gives insight into how to live a financially balanced life.

Shayna’s workshop topics have included:  Cash Flow and Budgeting, Credit and Debt Management, Savings and Investing, Insurance, Estate Planning, The Purpose of Money, Re-Thinking Retirement and Investment Planning for Beginners.
