Join us today in a global celebration of autism awareness! Guests Allison Dix of Rainbowland Autism Services in Australia and Leonora Gregory-Collura of ANCA in Canada will be sharing their vision and positive messages for the autism community.
More about Rainbowland...
"Rainbowland Autism Services Inc. is a not-for-profit organisation from Australia that was founded by the Dix family. The organisation is dedicated to global autism awareness and providing services that enrich the lives of autistic people and their families. Allison Dix is the Director of Rainbowland. She and her husband, Shane, have three autistic children. Their daughter, Kristie, is 11 years old and is passionate about singing and art. Their 5 year old twin sons, Jacob & Aaron, are excellent video game players and very cheeky. The Dix family came up with the idea for Autism Rainbow Day and hope that it will raise much needed awareness about autism at a global level. The campaign is about celebrating the lives of autistic people and their families. It also aims to raise awareness about what autistic people have to offer the world and the wonderful gifts and skills they possess. With community support comes acceptance, understanding, social inclusion and potential reaching opportunities."
