Parenting is a learning process and a journey that begins with one step and never ends. Unfortunately, in the single parent home, children do pay the price for the solo parent working, going to school, pursuing a career and/or starting a business. I recommend including the children in as much of the activites as possible as well as reassuring them that only God can control people-we can’t. Solicit love from friends, extended family (on both sides) and teachers. Most of all Single Parents must seek out networks, resources, information, assistance and apply wisdom. Taking a “me” time moment is a must! Remember single parenting is a status NOT an identity!
