Author Mark Pickering talks about his interviews with war veterans and the difficulties they have when they return from war. In his book 'Story on the Sand' he tells the story of a fictious character. Although the book may be fiction, it is definatly based on reality.

There is so much going on in the news it is hard to know what to talk about first. I guess most important at this time is the assanation of Benazir Bhutto. There is just no way the Musharraf is not involved. This worked to much to his benefit. I can't help but think that he didn't have some role in it also. We have a very long history of playing both sides in a conflict. This is certainly not any different. We help his side by giving arms while we get the okay to build a oil pipeline through his country. Then we promote turmoil by encourage (on the outside) the return of a PM who is destined to be killed. The people that she names as her killers are all people that our government supports, and will continue to support as long as they do our bidding.
You could say that she predicted here own death. As so many who go up against powerful agendas often do. And unfortunately to many times the predictions come true.
Benazir Bhutto claimed three senior allies of Pakistan's president General Musharraf were out to kill her in a secret email to Foreign Secretary David Miliband written weeks before her death. Astonishingly, one of them is a leading intelligence officer who was officially responsible for protecting Miss Bhutto from an assassination http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/worldnews.html?in_article_id=505152&in_page_id=1811
Amazing to me that the press kept so quiet when the Bush Administration supported a CIA assasanation attempt of Hugo Chavez.
http://www.jjraymond.com/political/2007/chavez.html
Short story of coup. The CIA made an alliance with the Venezuelan elite who controlled the majority of the television stations in the country and top generals of the Venezuelan military. The CIA initiated a progranda campaign through the controlled television stations followed by street demonstrations. Then the CIA used snipers to create choas in the streets. Choas was used as the pretext for the military to demand the ouster of Chavez. The military went so far as to arrest Chavez but he never resigned. The whole plan unraveled after 48 hours when Chavez supporters flooded the streets of Caracas and junior officers within the military (especially the palace guard) defected back to Chavez. Once the countercoup forces gained control of the main television station, the game was up. The people overwhelmingly demanded the return of Chavez.
The CIA follow a textbook style in almost every country they go into.
This is no different in Iraq today or the many other countries we are in. We send in the CIA to cause turmoil and civil wars. We do that because our capitalists politicians want to save the resources for themselves. Things like oil for example. They have to disrupt the status quo until they can cause regime change. With the new mantra of the 'war on terror' we have all kinds of reasons to go into countries and save the people from themselves.
I am so glad that I can see the writing on the wall.
