Glenn Dack is a big believer in the one-man-band. Surrender Monkeys is Glenn Dack
Surrender Monkeys came about in 2003 because Glenn found himself without a band and couldn’t give up music, he taught himself how to play guitar and has spent the last few years churning out songs and loves writing about tragedy concerning celebrity.
In 2008 he recorded a 12 track album called "Fame in the Fast Lane" which dwelt on various true stories linked with Hollywood, fame and celebrity.
Glenn says he tends to procrastinate a great deal when recording, which often means that 10 songs can take a very long time to complete. Recently he ditched this writing model for something dirtier and quicker...
"Bikini Atoll" (named after the nuclear test island used in the 40's and 50's) is a third of the way to completion. It doesn't really have a theme in the same way that the other albums do, but it does have a concept...Can a really great song work if it's less than 2 minutes in length? “Bikini Atoll" should be finished by December 2012 and much of it can already be downloaded for free at his Soundcloud page:
It's good to talk.
