What is this magical medium of music that can heal and energize us? According to Annabel’s guest, singer songwriter, Julie Blue, deep healing can take place through sound and voice. When we sing, we breath deeply, which fills the lungs up with oxygen. The physical signs of stress are quieted and begin to normalize. In today’s show, Annabel and Julie will discuss how Julie supports people to find their voices and their songs using a method she calls ‘Authentic Voice Technique’. They’ll talk about the role of the breath, and how singing in a community offers surprising ways of healing. Julie Blue believes that music is the language of the heart. She is a composer, facilitator, and singer whose performances have taken her all over the world. She has opened for luminaries such as Marianne Williamson, Ekkart Tolle and Neal Donald Walsh, and shared the stage with performers like David Foster and Jan Arden. She tours and facilitates for Harv Ekker’s Peak Potentials. Julie has composed music for over 40 films and TV shows and received a LEO award for her work on the award winning documentary ‘Stolen Lives’. She composes for and directs a pop/gospel choir, "The Singspiration Singers" and has recently released the critically acclaimed CD ‘One of A Kind Woman’. She is a master vocal coach, working with both singers and with public speakers. Learn more at julieblue.com.
