The problem is if these parts of our personality are miss informed or trying to do a job they are not capable of doing then it creates problems in our daily lives (example: irrational fear of water). Often times we can be very angry at ourselves or the part of ourselves that hold this misinformed believes. This can slow the healing process because we are "at war" with ourselves. The healing process can be transformed when we first approach these parts with gratitude.
