Suggestions for tapping statements for anger

Please remember that these tapping statements are just a reflection of what you might be telling yourself..."your story" about what happened or your feelings that keep running around in your head and body. They are not necessarily "true" statements (as in accurate) but they may very well be "true" reflections of how you feel...and that is ok. It is best to acknowledge what you are feeling, and say it out loud to yourself so that you can hear what you may give voice to what you are unconsciously (or consciously) thinking. Bring it into the light of day to have a look at it.

These are powerful statements and please use your best judgement and decide if you feel comfortable tapping on your anger, or maybe you may need the help of a practitioner.

If you'd like to try some tapping to deal with anger, here are some suggestions for tapping statements you could use. You can use these to tap with or you can come up with your own by writing down your thoughts.

"Even though...(put statement here)...I still deeply and completely accept myself"
"Even though...(put statement here)...I forgive myself"
"Even though...(put statement here)...it's ok for me to feel that way"

    STATEMENTS:

I feel angry that I have all this anger
I think I should not have this anger, I should be over it already
I'm angry that it I still feel anger about ________ after all these years
    my anger scares me
    my anger feels dangerous
it feels like my anger is destroying me
I'm alienating others with my anger
I'm afraid no one will love me if I'm angry
I have a right to be angry
I'm afraid my anger will consume me or hurt someone
I want them to KNOW that I'm angry and it's their fault
I want them to see how angry I am with them
I want them to know that they have hurt me, damaged me
I can't let go of my anger because then they will think that everything is all right, and it isn't
I don't want to let go of my anger because I need it
I'm angry because I've let others control me
I'm angry because I've let others hurt me
I'm angry because I feel powerless
I'm angry because I'm not being who I want to be
I feel angry because it isn't fair
    I'm angry because I think I can't have what I want
I'm angry because they won't give me what I want
I'm angry because I feel ashamed and wrong

    POSITIVE STATEMENTS:

I't ok for me to feel angry, it's my creative power wanting to be expressed
I can use my anger for good
My anger is a blessing, it teaches me.....
I am comfortable with my power
I can safely feel my anger
It's ok for me to be angry, it is a normal part of being human
I can use my anger is a constructive way
I have something important to say and I'm going to say it
I'm not going to let anything stop me
It's time for me to express myself
I am the captain of my ship

...you get the idea. Now, write down your thoughts and fears and come up with your own personal statements : )
