Minority Recruitment in Policing is it Failing?

    in Education

One of the things I promised the people who have followed me on Facebook is that the radio show would always be OUR radio show.  I let them name it and I’ve always said that if any of them had an idea for a show or something  they wanted addressed then we would do it.  One catch is that the person with the idea would be the Guest.  It’s an inclusive thing here.  Ernest Simmons thought more black people entering into policing would be a great show.  Well this Saturday on Behind the Blue Curtain.  we’re going to talk about Police Recruitment of Minorities.  Why should minorities trust or want to be involved in policing?  It has its rewards, its trade-offs and its setbacks so why would a African American, Hispanic American, Asian American or American Indian want to get into this job?  What benefits does it offer?  What are the benefits to the city that hires them and what is the ultimate cost.  Join us this week on Behind the Blue Curtain, Saturday at 10 AM (Central) m 11 AM (Eastern) and 9 AM on the West Coast.  I do not speak for the City of Waco, the Waco Police Department, its Officers, or Civilian Employees or the citizens of Waco.  My opinions are my personal opinion based on my personal and professional experiences.

Patricia Awyan Lehman From a very young age, Patricia knew that she would one day be going home to Egypt.  As a long-time student in metaphysical, spiritual and indigenous traditions, Patricia’s eclectic spiritual background serves as a strong foundation to support to her work. Patricia began her exploration of the Nature of this Reality from early childhood.  Her lifelong passion to know why and how we exist, led her to the in-depth study of the esoteric sciences as well as the physical sciences, mathematics, comparative religions, ancient literature, mythology, art history and symbology. All of this was an incredible preparation for the level of research that the Khemit School is currently undertaking.  The Neters, Mythology and Symbolism of ancient Khemit all combine to give us a brilliant vision and understanding of the nature of our reality, and how we eternally cycle through dimensions and stages of consciousness.  She became of student of Khemitology after meeting world renowned, Khemitologist, Abd’el Hakim Awyan, on her first trip to Egypt in 2005.
