Thanksgiving to New Years is often the most challenging and stressful time of the year!
There is an increase in expectations.
There is the hustle bustle of shopping, planning and “doing.”
Our compulsivity (especially eating, drinking and debting ) can get triggered in response to the surrounding chaos.
For many it is difficult to keep up.. to measure up.. to what we perceive others are expecting.
The contrast between what we feel and what we think we are supposed to feel can be vast.
We may see merriment around us – but we may feel sad and alone – depressed, lonely or afraid.
We may even become overwhelmed by all of the activities or be filled with the re-emergence of dread and fear of being unable to cope. Grief can be more pronounced if there have been significant losses in the past year. 50 shades of grief… 24 hour grief day…Shame can emerge. Greed or competition can raise their ugly heads
Tune in and hear how to thrive this time of year ... how to change obligations into choices ... dread into joy ... and fear into faith and hope.
