Hospitals exist for the purpose of delivering nursing care. Physician visits, surgery, diagnostic testing, and treatment administration can all be done on an outpatient basis. The reason people are admitted to the hospital is for nursing care. Therefore, nurses are the hospital’s talent. Nurses should be treated as highly-talented professionals.
