Trash is treasure. Do you know that building materials make up about 40% of our nation's solid waste stream? Community Forklift, a local thrift store for home improvement supplies, have been selling surplus, salvaged, reuse green building materials since 2005. They not only run a successful green business but also have created green jobs in the process. The store is owned and operated by a non-profit 501c3 organization, Sustainable Community Initiatives.
