Let's talk about "The Big Mama" persona. Big Mama was known for holding the family together, she would feed anybody, and sometimes had a no good man that she kept around because he was the father of her children and to be a single mother was shameful, while being a run down woman was expected and excused. She was loved by just about everyone because she was so giving, never requiring much in return.

Then you had your more rebellious women. These women would put you out, tell you they could do without you if need be, and didn't' allow you to take food from their babies mouths. She whipped your ass with whatever was near if you needed it and you knew not to sleep next to her had you laid a hand on her prior. The creation of this particular woman is now accredited to Feminism and highly frowned upon as we knew she would be.

It appears that some of you would rather club and drag us women decades back just for the sake of getting us to make biscuits from scratch and keep us from wearing britches. Why are some so afraid of the empowered black woman? Why has she become the new age Boggey Man? Why does Feminism or anything that focuses on the advancement and enhancement of the woman so frightful?

Join me as we discuss this topic that has so many black people buzzing.
