IVORY: Being in the moment can be a struggle, especially for those of us that let our minds race at break-neck speed. When one can truly master the art of “being in the moment”, life can be so rewarding. There is so much to be grateful for in all moments of our lives. I like what W. Dyer has to say about this, “Stop acting as if life is a rehearsal. Live this day as if it were your last. The past is over and gone. The future is not guaranteed.” This statement really reminds us to stay present, as that is all we have! EBONY: Do you want to be caught living in the past or do you wish to be caught in the moment? I commit to take life day by day. Each day is the day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it. No matter what happens, I will rejoice. I am determined to be happy and caught up. If I'm caught up, my head can't be hung down. I can't be sad or letting life situations get the best of me because my mind remains on the heavenly things, the positives in my life and the wonderful things to come. Will living in the past help me to change the past? No. Neither will re-living an awful moment. I can control my NOW. As long as I am doing all that I can now, everything else will take care of itself. Matthew 6:34 states: Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. It goes further to speak of the lilies of the field, they do not worry and are beautiful. If God adorns them in such radiance and care, how much more for me; the one whom He sent His only son to die for? Wow, now that's love. I have no worries or fears. I choose to be caught UP. Word of the Day: Inosculate-To join or unite.
