With many companies focusing largely on large process improvement initiatives mandated and handled from the top, one has to wonder how many organizations actually go the extra mile of engaging individual employees in process excellence. As Chip Handley, Vice President, Lean Six Sigma Deployment Champion at Ring Power Corporation, says, it was the goal of his organization to empower more people to “become involved in the business.” In this podcast, Genna Weiss speaks to Handley, a speaker at IQPC’s Lean Six Sigma and Process Improvement Summit in January 2009, about how Ring Power has benefited from deploying a continuous improvement culture that has attracted a greater process improvement participation rate within the corporation.
