Call in to speak with the host
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air's Hilary Banks was born with a silver spoon in her mouth. But the actor who brought her to life was anything but coddled when it came to making her future a reality. "When I was six years old, I started saying, 'I wanna act. I wanna act.' My mother was a librarian, and I used to go to the library and check out books of play compilations and just read through them and play out all the parts and visualize it," Karyn Parsons tells Conversations of a Spirited Actor host Tracey Moore. "And then at school one day, one of the books arrived and it was Small Plays for You and a Friend. It was just two parts, with a list of props you could find around the house. And I started doing all the plays."
It's good to talk.
