                   The Atlanteans opens in America, spirals back to an advanced Atlantis, at its demise, and then returns to America where events and characters from these two civilizations come together.
       
                  Teddy Townsend, a lawyer, and Ryan Stuart, a prominent neurosurgeon, are best friends in their mid-thirties.  Their lifelong friendship began at Harvard, but has its roots in their ancient past, which they are soon to learn more about.
       
                  As the story opens, Teddy and Ryan enter Teddy’s 52-foot racing yacht in the Miami-Nassau Regatta.  A storm overtakes them, and one of the ancient Atlantean magicians, Polaris, appears.  Polaris gives them a prophetic warning, and takes Teddy and Ryan back in time to show them who they were, and the truth of what happened the last few weeks of Atlantis’ existence.
       
                   When their weatherworn yacht returns to Miami, they wonder why they experienced all this. During their flight home to Chicago, they see pictured on the front page of the Miami newspaper the Atlantean magician, Merak, responsible for the demise of Atlantis. He is walking up the steps of the White House with the President.  Can Teddy Townsend and Ryan Stuart stop Merak before another enchanted land, America, suffers the same fate as Atlantis, and is lost forevermore?

      ABOUT THE AUTHOR
       
      The author, Dorothy Cora Moore, has researched this story for more than 30 years, starting with Edgar Cayce, and ending with some very abstract metaphysical works on Atlantis. 
       
      With a background working in law, she has also taken classes for pleasure at UCLA in Screenwriting and Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.  The Atlanteans began as an original screenplay and, together with its sequel, has become this novelization.    Born in Chicago, Illinois, the author now lives in Prescott, Arizona.

      Heavily inspired by his humanitarian efforts and recent trip to Darfur,
      Sudan, Raine has embarked on a solo project that resonates with a
      desire for change and a love for the world around us.  Raine Maida
      recently released a 4 song solo EP on nettwerk records that is
      currently available for purchase and his full length record is set to
      be released in 2008.
      One song that will be included on the album, is called "Mother", and is
      a tribute to the earth and all it has to offer.
