Join us in a conversation with Sally MacNichol, Co-Executive Director of CONNECT Faith.  Our conversation will focus on the need for us to help break the silence regarding adult intimate violence.  I'm sure that many, if not all of us have at one time or another heard the phrase, "Silence is Golden" , which refers to the fact that peace and quiet has its value and that often times, the best choice is to say nothing.  Well, in the context of intimate violence, silence is not always golden.  In fact, silence can be quite deadly, which creates an urgent need to end the silence of domestic violence.  Every 15 seconds a woman is abused in America.  It may be one of the most underreported phenomenon in our society.  So, now is time for us to make some noise.

Our guest Sally MacNichol will share some insight about this silence and some stereotypes, social beliefs and attitudes that perpetuate this notion of silence.  She will also give us some tips on what we can do to help break the silence of abuse.
