  Connecticut – Christina Long

   

  A 13-year-old girl was sexually assaulted and strangled to death by a 25-year-old illegal alien online predator.

   

  By all accounts, Christina was a sweet, well-adjusted sixth grader. She lived with her aunt, Shelley Riling, in Greenwich, Connecticut, and attended classes at St. Peter’s Catholic School where she was an honor student, altar girl and head cheerleader. Shelley had custody of Christina as a result of her parents’ bitter divorce in the fall of 2001. She had been living with her father until her mother moved away to Utah. Apparently, both parents had a history of substance abuse problems.

   

  In the spring of 2002, friends in Christina’s neighborhood noticed her absence from their usual after school activities and games. Christina had begun to spend time alone in her bedroom with her computer, talking to men twice her age in internet chat rooms.
