In the 50s, "art" mentioned in the same sentance with "children" usually meant it was raining outside and generally involved macaroni. But as we become more conscious of the wide-ranging impact art can have on children, approaches have changed dramatically. In this episode, we'll talk to several dynamic artists who work with children about their experiences and the impact they see, and discuss new ideas for expanding the relationship between children and art. Special Guests: artist-educators Lisa Rasmussen (Lincoln Child Development Center, "Creativity Takes Courage") and Heidi Peden (Pathways Charter School, "Inner Child Arts")
