The crime he’s been convicted of is tax fraud. In July 2007, Clarke was sentenced to 21 months in prison and ordered to pay $35,684 in restitution. Much of the money in question is classified as “gifts or love offerings” and is a standard occurrence in churches across the country. Especially in African American churches. expand

He has no shame or remorse. He is as arrogant as ever and 21 months is not long enough. I have read the transcripts of his trial and it shows the greed of Gregory (not Pastor or Revernd)and stupidity of some members to allow him to get away with this. He has asked the church to pay for his legal fees and to give his wife his salary. Outrageous. If my husband goes to prison, I will not get his salary!!! Now he has created a job for his wife so she can get his salary. This shows how crooked
