While the Chinese cyberattacks make big news and concern defense experts in the U.S., it gives the Department of Defense an argument for funding in Congress during a time of austerity and cutbacks. What does Congress think? For more we talk to Tim Mak, Defense Reporter for Politico.

Congresswoman Michele Bachmann announced she will not be running for re-election next year. The Minnesota Republican who ran for president last in the Republican primary made the announcement in an 8-minute video release early this morning. A firebrand conservative, Bachmann chaired the Tea Party Caucus in Congress and seldom made a speech in the last few years that didn’t criticize the president or the Affordable Care Act. We talk to Shira Toeplitz, Politics Editor for Roll Call.
