Let's talk about Sex with Dr. Sonya

D.L. is a 26 y.o. married African-American woman.  She is presently completing her undergraduate degree in Engineering while holding down a day job as an Officer Manager at a local spa.  Her presenting problem had to do with her husband, J.G., a 27 y.o. Asian Computer Science grad student.  D.L. described a recent night when she came home early from work and found her husband engaged in oral sex with his best friend, T.M., who also happened to be the husband of D.L.’s best friend.  Shocked, she dropped the grocery bags in her arms, creating a loud racket of broken glass, squashed fruit and metal cans scattered about. T.M. grabbed his clothes and fled out the front door, nearly knocking D.L. over, while J.G. ran into the bathroom and locked the door. D.L., meanwhile, sat down on their student-issue couch and commenced to cry.
